Local Public Rose Gardens:
- Browncroft Rose Garden - Rochester, NY - Browncroft Rose Garden is a horticultural jewel in Rochester's northeast area. The collection of antique roses is maintained by an active and committed neighborhood group and makes a beautiful entryway to the historic Browncroft Neighborhood. Located at 37 Merchants Rd 14610.
- Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens - Buffalo, NY - Rochester, NY - When visiting the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, you see three historic attractions in one: Olmsted's South Park; the 1899 tri-domed glass conservatory building; and the Victorian-style gardens of plants (both "Gardens Under Glass" and "Gardens Under the Sky").
- Delaware Park Rose Garden - Buffalo, NY - The jewel of Buffalo's park system, Delaware Park was one of six designed by famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted in the late 19th century. Its 365 acres include the Rose Garden, the public Delaware Park Golf Course, the Buffalo Zoological Gardens, and the "Shakespeare in the Park" festival, among other attractions.
- E.M. Mills Rose Garden - Syracuse, NY - Located in Thornden Park, Syracuse, NY near the campus of Syracuse University. The 3,850 plants surround a central gazebo. Pathways, benches, and plant labels add comfort and interest to the garden.
- Maplewood Rose Garden - Rochester, NY - This jewel of a garden in Rochester, NY, lies above the bank of the Genesee River and contains 4,100 plants of 300 varieties grouped in beds. The garden is recognized by the American Rose Society.
- Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens - Niagara Fall, Ontario, Canada - Includes the Niagara Parks world famous Rose Garden featuring over 2,400 roses. The Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens is the unique oulioor classroom for students attending the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture - the students are responsible for the maintenance and development of the Botanical Gardens. The renowned Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory is adjacent to the Gardens and a "must see" for visitors to the Gardens.
- Royal Botanical Gardens - Hamilton, Ontario, Canada - Includes five garden areas: Rock Garden (annuals), Arboretum (flowering shrubs and trees), Laking Garden (perennials and ornamental grasses), Hendrie Park Gardens (shrub and antique roses, annuals and perennials), and RBG Centre (orchid showcase and greenhouse displays of Mediterranean plants), four nature sanctuaries (Cootes Paradise, Hendrie Valley, Rock Chapel, Berry Tract), and a Nature Interpretive Centre.

- Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion, State Historic Park - Canandaigua, NY - A beautiful Victorian estate, located at the north end of Canandaigua Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region in Upstate New York.
